Toast's 30-day warranty: we've got you covered!

Toast proudly stands behind our products! We gladly will replace any items that are defective due to craftsmanship or shipping damage within 30 days of delivery to you.  If there is a problem with your Toast cover, please contact us at cs@toastmade.com with photos and proof of purchase, and we will make it right.  Please note: Toast does not offer replacement covers in the event that you have lost or replaced your device, nor for damage due to drops or excessive wear and tear.

What we need

First things first: Take photos!  Not only does this help us verify your issue, but it also helps us identify the root cause of the problem, which allows us to continually improve our processes and products.  Photos of any damaged packaging are necessary for us in filing a shipping claim, if necessary.  

If your cover is already attached to your phone, and you can’t find a friend’s phone - or a mirror - simply follow our un-install guides and snap a pic of the removed cover.  That’ll do.

I purchased my Toast from a Third Party Retailer...

Please contact the seller from whom you purchased your Toast cover to handle any warranty issues. Our arrangements with these sellers make it cost-prohibitive to take on such claims directly. Don’t fret, though! They’ll take care of you.

Exchanges / Returns

You may return most* undamaged, unopened, unused items within 30 days of delivery for a refund (minus shipping charges). Please note that a 15% restocking fee will be applied. *The big exception: we cannot accept returns or exchanges on any items that have been customized in any way, including covers with simple custom text. Please triple-check your order to make sure everything is exactly correct before ordering a customized item!

In the rare event that you placed an order for a custom cover and decide not to go with any of the renderings we send you, we'll refund your order minus the $20 design fee.

To return an item, please contact us directly at cs@toastmade.com first. When returning the item, please include a note stating your name, order #, contact info and whether you'd like to make an exchange or request a refund. We recommend reusing the packaging your item arrived in to ensure that it is protected while in transit back to us. Since we cannot be responsible for packages mailed to us, we suggest that you use a trackable and insured mail service. We will notify you via e-mail of your refund or exchange once we have received the item and verified that it is intact.

What if I ordered the wrong model?

We craft each cover to order so please make sure you have ordered the correct model (check the detailed product descriptions on our product pages and/or reach out to us for help with identifying your device model if you you are unsure).  We can exchange non-customized covers, but you are responsible for shipping costs and the 15% restock fee.  For custom covers, we will take back what we can reuse (non-custom parts), and help you out with a sweet 50% discount on your replacement custom cover order.  

I heard something about your "Butterfingers" policy - what is that?

Device Defects & Recalls

My Toasted device got recalled!  Can you throw me a bone?

Exploding phone?  That sucks.  Especially if it means that your beautiful Toast cover went with it!  As part of our super awesome commitment to our customers, we offer 50% off replacement Toast covers within 1 year of any device recall.  Proof of your original Toast purchase and your device recall is required. You’ll need to specify the model of your new device with our customer service rep.

My device was repaired under warranty and they destroyed my Toast!  Can I get a bone too?

You bet! With a caveat: We offer 50% off a replacement (exact duplicate) cover for any device repaired under the manufacturer's original 1 year warranty - meaning you didn't pay for the repair. Proof of repair from the service tech showing a $0 cost, and proof of your original Toast purchase is required.

Please note that this offer does NOT apply to extended warranties or insurance policies such as Apple Care, Geek Squad, retailer warranties, credit card extended warranties, etc.
